These logs are the highlights of initial emergency calls and reports to the Douglas County Dispatch Center. They do not represent all the incidents or their final outcomes.

POLICE LOG

Monday

Douglas County sheriff

12:50 a.m. — An unknown male in a black mask tried to attack a male at his home on the 400 block of Hayhurst Road in Yoncalla.

2:07 p.m. — Two guns stolen from a residence on the 800 block of David Drive in the Round Prairie area.

3:44 p.m. — Theft of guns from the 5400 block of Northeast Stephens Street in Roseburg.

7:43 p.m. — Vehicle window smashed and property stolen on the 5800 block of Old Highway 99 North near Roseburg.

Myrtle Creek Police

12:50 p.m. — Man arrested for being a felon in possession of a firearm and illegal discharge after a deer was found shot to death on the 700 block of Northeast Lillian Street.

Roseburg Police

10:14 a.m. — Criminal mischief to a vehicle on the 1400 block of Valley View Drive.

5:47 p.m. — Criminal mischief to a residence under construction on the 1900 block of Excello Loop Road.

6:22 p.m. — A female spray painted a car with pink paint on the 800 block of Highland Street.

Sutherlin Police

12:49 a.m. — Vehicles broken into and property stolen on the 400 block of Agate Street.

ACCIDENTS

Monday

Douglas County sheriff

8:32 a.m. —A 1998 GMC Envoy crashed off the road at Gem Drive and Lookingglass Road near Roseburg. The driver, Jimmie L. Franklin, 50, of Roseburg, was taken by ambulance to Mercy Medical Center where she was treated and released. Lookingglass Rural Fire District and Medcom Ambulance also responded.

Oregon State Police

2 p.m. — Noninjury accident on Interstate 5 northbound near Milepost 86 near Azalea. Azalea Rural Fire District and Glendale Ambulance also responded.

2:56 p.m. — Two-vehicle, noninjury accident on the 1900 block of Highway Avenue in Reedsport.

Roseburg Police

12:56 p.m. — Noninjury accident on the 1100 block of Stewart Parkway.

ARRESTS

The News-Review publishes the names of individuals who have been arrested on suspicion of at least one felony charge or three misdemeanors or a combination of felony and misdemeanor charges.

Monday

Douglas County sheriff

Christopher Michael Cantin, 32, of Glendale, on suspicion of attempt to elude police, two counts of cutting or transporting minor forest products, second-degree theft, second-degree criminal mischief and second-degree criminal trespass.

Tabitha Holly Stiehl, 37, of Wolf Creek, on suspicion of unlawful delivery of methamphetamine, unlawful possession of methamphetamine, endangering the welfare of a minor, resisting arrest and tampering with evidence.

Myrtle Creek Police

Jack Matthew Lupo, 62, of Myrtle Creek, on suspicion of felon in possession of a firearm.

Elton Ray Wade, 62, of Myrtle Creek, on suspicion of unlawful possession and delivery of methamphetamine.

FIRE RUNS

Monday

Camas Valley Fire

6:18 p.m. — Possible small fire from lightning strike on the 4000 block of Upper Camas Road in Camas Valley.

Elkton Rural Fire

12:51 p.m. — Hay in the back of a truck caught fire on the 1700 block of Highway 38 in Elkton.

Oakland Rural Fire

2:21 p.m. — Vehicle and grass on fire on the side of Interstate 5 northbound near Milepost 137 near Oakland.
