The fifth annual Blooms & Butterflies Celebration is set for Saturday.
The day's events take place at the Elkton Community Education Center, 15850 Highway 38 West.
The day begins with 5K and 10K runs and a 5K walk. Registration is at 7:30 a.m. The 10K run begins at 8:30 a.m. and the 5K run/walk begin at 9 a.m. The day continues with events in the new ECEC Community Building and the rest of the park from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The event includes tours through the native plant gardens and the butterfly pavilion. The Native Oregon Plant Nursery will offer sales of student enterprise project plans for landscaping and blooming baskets, as well as heritage apple trees from the Fort Umpqua Orchard.
