Police and Fire Logs: June 23, 2009



These logs are the highlights of initial emergency calls and reports to the Douglas County Dispatch Center. They do not represent all the incidents or their final outcomes.

POLICE LOG

Monday

Douglas County sheriff

11:15 a.m. — Theft of prescription medications from the 300 block of Apricot Lane in Green.

5:13 p.m. — Male with a pistol threatening people on the 2000 block of Cow Creek Road in Riddle. Male arrested on suspicion of menacing.

Myrtle Creek Police

11:14 a.m. — A shed at a church on the 100 block of Northeast Division Street was broken into and a box of fireworks was stolen.

Reedsport Police

11:58 a.m. — Theft of bicycle from the 2700 block of Frontage Road.

Roseburg Police

7:50 a.m. — Criminal mischief to lights on the 2800 block of Stewart Parkway.

9:55 a.m. — Vehicle broken into and stereo taken on the 1700 block of Mulholland Drive.

8:08 p.m. — Assault on the 1000 block of Northeast Stephens Street.

ACCIDENTS

Monday

Douglas County sheriff

2:04 p.m. — Two-vehicle, noninjury accident at Edenbower Boulevard and Interstate 5 in Roseburg.

4:21 p.m. — Motorcycle crash with injuries on the 1800 block of Roberts Creek Road in Green. Douglas County Fire District No. 2 and Medcom Ambulance also responded.

6:07 p.m. — Noninjury accident at Dixonville Road and South Deer Creek Road in Dixonville. Douglas County Fire District No. 2 and Medcom Ambulance also responded.

Roseburg Police

4:04 p.m. — Pedestrian hit by a vehicle on the 1100 block of Northeast Stephens Street. Injuries reported. Roseburg Fire Department and Medcom Ambulance also responded.

ARRESTS

The News-Review publishes the names of individuals who have been arrested on suspicion of at least one felony charge or three misdemeanors or a combination of felony and misdemeanor charges.

Monday

Douglas County sheriff

Darren William Moore, 45, of Winchester Bay, on suspicion of first-degree sexual abuse, first-degree sodomy and sexual harassment.

Roseburg Police

Stacey Regina Smith, 40, of Roseburg, on suspicion of identity theft, second-degree forgery and theft of services.
