Police and Fire Logs: June 24, 2009



These logs are the highlights of initial emergency calls and reports to the Douglas County Dispatch Center. They do not represent all the incidents or their final outcomes.

POLICE LOG

Tuesday

Douglas County sheriff

6:50 a.m. — A male juvenile tried to steal a tool out of a shed on the 900 block of Hill Street in Tri City.

5:27 p.m. — Burglary and theft on the 300 block of Elst Lane in Glendale.

9:13 p.m. — Male fighting with his grandmother over a garden on the 200 block of Emils Way in Green.

11:07 p.m. — Assault on the 500 block of Southeast Mill Street in Canyonville.

Roseburg Police

8:12 a.m. — Vehicle tires slashed on the 600 block of Boston Street.

1:46 p.m. — Stereo stolen out of vehicle on the 1700 block of Eden Street.

3:47 p.m. —Theft of items from a residence on the 100 block of Gilbert Avenue.

ACCIDENTS

Tuesday

Douglas County sheriff

5:24 a.m. — Single-car, injury accident involving an allegedly intoxicated driver at Crouch Road and Fort McKay Road near Sutherlin. Sutherlin Fire Department and Sutherlin Ambulance also responded.

10:22 a.m. — A log truck overturned on the 10000 block of Green Valley Road near Metz Hill. No injuries reported.

11:58 a.m. — Noninjury accident on the 8400 block of Old Highway 99 North near Roseburg.

Oregon State Police

6:22 a.m. — Rear-end accident at Old Highway 99 South and Carnes Road in Green. Unknown injuries. Douglas County Fire District No. 2, Winston-Dillard Fire Department and Medcom Ambulance also responded.

4:59 p.m. — A vehicle hit the guardrail and possibly rolled on Interstate 5 southbound near Milepost 165 near Curtin. Unknown injuries. North Douglas Fire & EMS also responded.

Roseburg Police

12:43 a.m. — A motorcyclist crashed on the 1500 block of Main Street, suffering possible broken bones. Roseburg Fire Department and Medcom Ambulance also responded.

7:42 a.m. — Two-vehicle accident on the 200 block of Southeast Stephens Street. One female complained of knee pain. Roseburg Fire Department and Medcom Ambulance also responded.

8:42 a.m. — Noninjury accident on the 1700 block of Valley View Drive.

5:18 p.m. — Two-vehicle, noninjury accident on the 500 block of Winchester Street.

ARRESTS
