These logs are the highlights of initial emergency calls and reports to the Douglas County Dispatch Center. They do not represent all the incidents or their final outcomes.

POLICE LOG

Thursday

Douglas County sheriff

8:57 a.m. — Burglary of a business on the 300 block of West Pacific Avenue in Glendale.

11:04 a.m. — Jewelry and other property discovered missing in burglary of a residence on the 1500 block of Oakwood Drive in Rice Hill.

8:35 p.m. — Vehicle broken into on the 5800 block of Old Highway 99 North in Winchester.

8:51 p.m. — Burglary on the 200 block of Wild Fern Drive in Winchester.

Reedsport Police

9:09 p.m. — Vehicle keyed on the 700 block of Mill Avenue.

Roseburg Police

9:02 p.m. — A pool in a box left on a deck stolen from the 1700 block of Eden Street.

Sutherlin Police

1:30 p.m. — Theft of a go-cart from the 500 block of Northeast Fifth Street in Oakland.

Winston Police

8:40 p.m. — Theft of medications from a vehicle on the 100 block of Glenhart Street.

ACCIDENTS

Thursday

Douglas County sheriff

9:30 a.m. — A pickup went into a ditch at Circle Star Lane and Roberts Creek Road in the Roberts Creek area. No injuries.

6:10 p.m. — Noninjury accident on the 200 block of Eagle Valley Road in Yoncalla.

6:42 p.m. — A vehicle crashed into a power pole, knocking it down and starting a grass fire on the 5000 block of Roberts Creek Road in Green. Driver was injured. Douglas County Fire District No. 2 and Medcom Ambulance also responded.

Oregon State Police

11:06 a.m. — Two-vehicle accident with unknown injuries at Highway 101 and Reedsport West Road in Reedsport. Winchester Bay Fire Department and Reedsport Ambulance also responded.

Roseburg Police

6:10 p.m. — Bicycle accident with injuries at Southeast Stephens Street and Woodward Avenue. Roseburg Fire Department and Medcom Ambulance also responded.

Winston Police

1:35 a.m. — A motorcyclist hit a dog at South Grape Street and Theodore Street.

ARRESTS

The News-Review publishes the names of individuals who have been arrested on suspicion of at least one felony charge or three misdemeanors or a combination of felony and misdemeanor charges.

Thursday

Douglas Interagency Narcotics Team

James Watt Hamilton, 57, of Roseburg, on suspicion of felon in possession of a weapon, unlawful delivery and manufacturing of marijuana within 1,000 feet of a school, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, and unlawful manufacturing, delivery and possession of marijuana.

Reedsport Police

David John Simmons, 29, of Reedsport, on suspicion of felony fourth-degree assault.

Winston Police

Lee Hubert Ehrman, 41, of Winston, on suspicion of fourth-degree assault, strangulation and harassment.

FIRE RUNS

Douglas County Fire District No 2

5:09 p.m. — A tree fell into a power line and caught fire on the 100 block of Cleveland Hill Road in Melrose.
