POLICE LOG

Tuesday

Douglas County sheriff

9:51 a.m. — Bicycle stolen on the 300 block of Dark Horse Street, Green.

10:28 a.m. — License plates stolen from a vehicle on the 3200 block of Northeast Stephens Street, Roseburg.

11:26 a.m. — Theft on the 500 block of Reston Road, Tenmile.

1 p.m. — Theft of medication on the 1500 block of Pruner Road, Riddle.

2:52 p.m. — Criminal mischief to a vehicle on the 400 block of Stanton Park Road, Myrtle Creek.

7:18 p.m. — Theft of a bush from a residence on the 100 block of Carmel Court, Green.

Reedsport Police

5:16 p.m. — Vehicle hit in a parking lot on the 1400 block of Highway Avenue.

Roseburg Police

1:54 a.m. — Eggs thrown at a vehicle near Garden Valley Boulevard and Kline Street.

1:05 p.m. — Report of fraudulent moneygrams on the 2100 block of Stewart Parkway.

5:27 p.m. — Theft of movies and tools from a residence on the 1900 block of Kane Street.

7:07 p.m. — Vehicle stolen on the 2700 block of Northeast Stephens Street.

ACCIDENTS

Tuesday

Douglas County sheriff

8:25 a.m. — Vehicle struck a deer on the 2500 block of Canyonville-Riddle Road, Riddle. No injuries.

Oregon State Police

7:52 a.m. — Noninjury accident involving two vehicles on Interstate 5 southbound near Exit 116, Winston.

11:23 a.m. — Motorcycle accident on Highway 101 near Tahkenitch Lake, Gardiner. Unknown injuries.

Roseburg Police

9:08 a.m. — Two-vehicle accident on the 1600 block of Harvard Avenue. No injuries. Roseburg Fire Department and Medcom Ambulance also responded.

3:36 p.m. — Two-vehicle accident involving a semitruck near Oak Avenue and Pine Street. No injuries.

8:06 p.m. — Two-vehicle injury accident near Garden Valley and Melrose roads. Medcom Ambulance and Douglas County Fire District No. 2 also responded.

Winston Police

3:46 p.m. — Accident involving a vehicle and a child on a bicycle near Baker and North Main streets. No injuries. Winston-Dillard Ambulance and Winston-Dillard Fire District also responded.

ARRESTS

The News-Review publishes the names of individuals who have been arrested on suspicion of at least one felony charge or three misdemeanors or a combination of felony and misdemeanor charges.

Tuesday

Douglas County sheriff

Seth Cooper Gillespie, 18, of Tenmile, on suspicion of first-degree sexual abuse, second-degree rape and second-degree sodomy.

Randall Lee Slay, 37, of Myrtle Creek, on suspicion of unlawful possession of methamphetamine.

Richard Arthur Tyler, 22, of Roseburg, on suspicion of unlawful possession of a controlled substance, unlawful manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of less than an ounce of marijuana within 1,000 feet of a school and unlawful manufacture of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school.

Roseburg Police

Nathan Earl Johnson, 35, address unknown, on suspicion of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, unlawful entry into a motor vehicle and first-degree criminal mischief.

Gene Allen Kyle, 52, of Roseburg, on suspicion of first-degree criminal trespassing, harassment and disorderly conduct.

Kellie Anne Metcalf, 38, of Winston, on suspicion of two counts of providing false information to a police officer and failure to carry or present an operators license or insurance.
