Best bets for the weekend of Sept. 18 - 20



THIRD FRIDAY CONCERT SERIES — An evening of dinner and music will be offered beginning at 6 tonight at the Umpqua Valley Arts Center, 1624 W. Harvard Ave., Roseburg. Pacific Flyway, an acoustic quartet, will perform original tunes along with covers of old and new acoustic songs. Dinner is eggplant lasagna made with local ingredients. No-host beer and wine. Suggested donation $25 at the door. Proceeds benefit the Douglas County Global Warming Coalition. The coalition will donate a portion of the proceeds of each concert to No LNG. 580-9120 to make reservations.

“A BAD YEAR FOR TOMATOES” — Don't miss the opening weekend of this comedy at 7:30 tonight and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday at the Betty Long Unruh Theatre, 1614 W. Harvard Ave., Roseburg. Umpqua Actors Community Theatre presents “A Bad Year For Tomatoes.” Famous movie star Myra Marlow escapes from Hollywood to a small town, but pesky neighbors bring her rest and relaxation to a halt.
