86, of Roseburg, Oregon, passed away on September 9, 2009. He was born on April 22,1923, in Mento, South Dakota, as the youngest of a family of three boys and two girls. He became an electrician and served his country in the Coast Guard, Army, Corps of Engineers, and Air Force.
After his first marriage, he later married, Lou Blackburn on September 10, 1974, at Campbell, California. Five years later, the couple moved to Oregon and looked for a church family to join. The couple joined the Seventh" day Adventist Church in Roseburg where Clarence enjoyed fellowship with church members. Clarence pursued his hobby of wood carving and employed his talents in building things and in remodeling his house. He enjoyed gardening and camping and liked being at home. He is survived by his wife, Lou; two sisters, Evelyn and Adella; two daughters, Sandy and Cheryl; four sons, Jess, Wayne, Danny, and David; and seven grandchildren, Danielle, Michelle, Chantille, Tracy, Spencer, Casey, and Josh. A memorial service for Clarence will be held on October 4, 2009, at 11a.m. in the Seventh-day Adventist Church at 1109 NW Garden Valley Blvd. in Roseburg, OR.
