We mourn her passing on Monday, October 12, 2009, at the age of 96. Born to Nora Helen Sturgeon and Alfred Horrall on November 4, 1912, in Enid, Oklahoma. She was the only sister and youngest of seven brothers. She was raised on a farm near Imo, Oklahoma, and attended Turkey Creek School and Emerson Jr. High in Enid. In 1944, she moved to St. Helena, California, and became a telephone operator for the St. Helena Sanitarium and Hospital where she retired and was a very devoted member of the Seventh Day Adventist. Thelma and Oren Potter had two boys, Clifton and Larry Potter. Later she married Carolos Arnold and had an extremely happy life with him that came to terrible life ending fate. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Carol Potter; grandchildren, Steve, Terri, Lynn, Tom, Corrine, Frank, Teresa, Jerrod and Gregg and all their spouses, including 15 great-grandchildren. She has been loved by all and very well taken care of. She was truly loved by many and we have to give her care-givers (Aileen Stanley, Melanie McGuire and Shawn Canterbury) a lot of credit for their efforts they have performed daily along with Garden Valley Retirement Center for their special interest in her well being. Thelma requested that there shall not be any services but to be buried next to Mr. Arnold at the Golden Gate Cemetery.
