Man injured in Drain crash

A Springfield man was hurt in a one-vehicle wreck Saturday afternoon on Highway 38 near Drain, Oregon State Police reported this morning.

Harold Dale Beam, 69, was driving a 2002 Toyota Tundra east at Milepost 44 at 11:57 a.m. when a travel trailer he was pulling began to fishtail. The trailer forced the Tundra to cross the westbound lane of travel and strike the north shoulder, flipping the vehicle.

Beam, who was wearing a seat belt and whose injuries were described as not life-threatening, was taken to McKenzie-Willamette Hospital in Springfield. His condition was not available this morning.
