The Elkton School District will host its annual Veterans Day Celebration at 1 p.m. on Tuesday at the Elkton High School, gymnasium, 739 River Road.
Veterans of every age and era are encouraged to come and be honored. Family and friends are also welcome to attend.
Songs will be performed by the grade school students, the Sutherlin High School Choir and The Gospel Sounds.
Essays and poems will be recited by Elkton students, colors will be presented by the U.S. Coast Guard and Umpqua Station, and there will be a special diploma ceremony for special guest veterans.
Fellow veteran Dr. Charlie Sharp will be the guest speaker. Refreshments will be served following the assembly. Veterans and guests are invited to meet students.
