A Yoncalla man was admitted to the hospital after the vehicle in which he was riding swerved off the road Monday evening, the Douglas County Sheriff's Office reported.
Dawnita Bujold, 46, was driving a 2003 F-150 pickup south on 1000 block of John Long Road at 9:27 p.m. when she failed to negotiate a corner, according to a news release. The pickup left the road and rolled down the embankment.
Bujold and passenger Dale Bryant, 54, were taken by ambulance with neck injuries to Mercy Medical Center. Bujold was treated and released. As of this morning, Bryant remained in the hospital with neck fractures, the release said. His condition was not available this morning.
Bujold was cited on suspicion of driving under the influence of intoxicants. The crash remains under investigation, the release said.
