The show, which runs from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Sunday, will feature obedience and rally trials and venders of dog toys and equipment on all days.
KENNEL CLUB SHOW — The Umpqua Kennel Club and Rogue Valley Kennel Club are hosting a four-day dog show at the Douglas County Fairgrounds continues through Sunday. The show, which began Thursday and runs from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day, will feature obedience and rally trials and venders of dog toys and equipment on all days. Judges from all over the country and Canada plan to attend the show that includes 700 dogs and vendors. Dogs are able to participate in a canine good citizen test or attend an eye clinic certified by the Canine Eye Registration Foundation on Saturday. Hearing tests and microchips will be available Saturday and Sunday. Parking is $5, the canine good citizen test is $10 and the eye clinic is $20. 459-4966.
COFFEE HOUSE PERFORMANCE — Celebrate autumn from 7 to 9:30 p.m. today with music, treats and laughter as the Unitarian Universalist Church at 2165 N.W. Watters St. in Roseburg hosts a fall coffeehouse. Performances by local bands Slowpoke, Twisted Pick and The Multiple Personalities mix with refreshments such as pumpkin zucchini bread, sugar-free cookies, coffee, herbal teas and hot apple cider. $5 cover charge. 673-3001.
KINGS AND QUEENS OF COUNTRY MUSIC — Take in performances by Johnny Cash, June Carter Cash, Conway Twitty and Loretta Lynn, or at least darn good look-alikes, as the Roseburg Zonta club presents the Kings and Queens of Country. Doors open at 6:30 on Saturday at the Jacoby Auditorium at Umpqua Community College, 1140 Umpqua College Road in Roseburg. Traveling impersonators from Jamie's Rock and Roll Legends promise a memorable performance. Tickets are available at West Harvard Furniture and Macy's. There is a $20 general admission or $30 for reserved seating. Proceeds benefit the local Zonta club. 672-3100.
HOLIDAY CRAFT FAIR — Soaps, lotions, quilts, doll clothes, wreaths and table cloths are just a few of the many crafts that will be for sale at Yoncalla's 21st annual holiday craft fair. Crafters will be on hand from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Yoncalla Community Center at Main Street and Cedar Street. Door prizes of crafters' products will be given away hourly. Admission is free. Nonperishable food and paper items will be accepted for the local food pantry. 849-2645.
HARLEM AMBASSADORS — The Court-Appointed Special Advocates group brings the Harlem Ambassadors to Umpqua Community College, 1140 Umpqua College Road in Roseburg, at 6 p.m. Sunday. The basketball performance, similar to the Harlem Globetrotters, benefits the nonprofit organization. CASA volunteers advocate for abused and neglected children in the courts system. The Harlem Ambassadors group pairs with nonprofit across the nation for family friendly fundraisers. 677-0099.
