Ernest Leroy Sessions



Born to Ernest and Numa Sessions in Livermore, California, on November 22, 1928, passed away Thursday, November 12, 2009, at his home in Canyonville, Oregon. He had a loving stepfather, Paul McNish who is deceased. Ernest retired from Laurance Livermore Lab in 1980 as a machinist. He was also a machinist at Canyon Hydraulics in Canyonville for several years. Survivors include a half brother, Jim McNish, of Sonora, California; one sister, Gale in Alameda, California; two children, Ernest in Oakdale, California, and Sharon in Salida, California; 18 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren, and 8 great great-grandchildren. Ernest enjoyed woodworking and helping others. He was a true gentleman to all. He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife, Naomi on November 2, 2009. Services will be at the Hillside Christian Church in Canyonville, Oregon, on Sunday, November 15, 2009, at 2 p.m. Pastor, Randy Ives will officiate. A reception will follow the services at the church. Those who wish may pay their respects from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, November 14, 2009, at the Mountain View Memorial Chapel who is serving the family.
