John Murphy and his partner Eric Thoreson combined for a 62 to lead by a stroke in the 2009 Seven Feathers Hotel Casino Resort Turkey Open at the Roseburg Country Club Saturday. The 36-hole event wraps up today.

ROSEBURG

Turkey Open set for Nov. 21-22

The Stewart Park 2-Man Turkey Open is set for Nov. 21-22 at Stewart Park Golf Course. There will be an 18-hole scramble and an 18-hole best ball format.

Entry fee is $150 per team. The maximum individual handicap of 25. The scramble handicap will be 35 perceon of player A and 15 percent of player B, combined. A minimum of seven drives will be required per man in the scramble format.

Both balls will count toward the final score on holes 3, 8, 12 and 17 in the best-ball format. Information: 672-4592.
