Myrtle Creek man hurt, cited in crash

A Myrtle Creek man was taken to the hospital after his vehicle crashed Monday afternoon on Interstate 5, police said this morning.

Bobby Clark Wilson, 20, was driving a 1997 Toyota Tacoma pickup north through the curves at Milepost 108 at 2 p.m., according to an Oregon State Police news release.

Wilson reportedly exited abruptly at Exit 108. The left front of his pickup hit the guardrail and overturned. The pickup came to rest on the passenger side facing south and was blocking the exit.

Wilson was taken with a cut to his head by ambulance to Mercy Medical Center in Roseburg. A hospital spokeswoman said he was treated and released.

At the time of the crash, Susan Kay Dinsmore, 46, of Roseburg was driving a 1994 Toyota 4Runner next to Wilson's pickup, the release said. Dinsmore's vehicle was hit by debris, shattering glass in the passenger side rear window of her vehicle.

A driver in the area at the time of the crash told police Wilson had been driving in a reckless manner just before the crash. Wilson will be cited for alleged reckless driving, the release said.
