POLICE LOG

Thursday

Douglas County sheriff

7:26 a.m. — Criminal mischief, attempted burglary on the 3300 block of South Highway 99, Green.

9:18 a.m. — Laptop stolen on the 2000 block of Opportunity Lane, Glide.

1:43 p.m. — Laptop, wallet, keys, etc., stolen from locker at Umpqua Community College, 1140 Umpqua College Road.

2:02 p.m. — Two guns stolen on the 100 block of Jack Court, Myrtle Creek.

9:20 p.m. — Attempted burglary on the 100 block of Oak Valley Loop, Roseburg.

Roseburg Police

7:51 a.m. — Service department of business on the 1400 block of Northeast Stephens burglarized.

10 a.m. — Small holes found in windows on the 600 block of Madrone Street.

11:42 a.m. — Forgery on the 400 block of Northeast Jackson Street.

4:27 p.m. — Theft of bike on the 2400 block of Douglas Avenue.

10:29 p.m. — Fraud on the 2100 block of Stewart Parkway.



ACCIDENTS

Thursday

Douglas County sheriff

3:48 p.m. — Two-vehicle, noninjury crash on the 3300 block of South Highway 99, Roseburg.

7:21 p.m. — Vehicle hit deer on the 2000 block of Dole Road, Myrtle Creek. No injuries.

10:35 p.m. — Pickup reportedly 30 feet down steep embankment on the 2000 block of Lutsinger Road, Scottsburg. When deputy arrived, found about five pickups over the side of the road, no sign of people.

Oregon State Police

10:44 a.m. — OSP in pursuit of vehicle, vehicle crashed on the intersection of Highway 99 South and East Happy Valley Road, Green.

4:14 p.m. — Single-vehicle crash at Milepost 142 northbound, Interstate 5. Minor injuries, patient refusing transport.

9 p.m. — Single-vehicle, noninjury crash at Milepost 114 northbound, Interstate 5.

Roseburg Police

10:37 a.m. — Hit-and-run crash on the 900 block of Garden Valley Boulevard.

12:26 p.m. — Report of hit-and-run crash that happened about an hour earlier on the 2100 block of Stewart Parkway.

1:39 p.m. — Two-vehicle, injury collision at the intersection of Stewart Parkway and Kmart driveway. Female complained of shoulder pain, male of neck pain, both refused transport.

2:29 p.m. — Two-vehicle, noninjury crash in the area of the 800 block of Douglas Avenue.

Sutherlin Police

3:26 p.m. — Hit-and-run collision on the 100 block of East Central Avenue.

ARRESTS

The News-Review publishes the names of individuals who have been arrested on suspicion of at least one felony charge or three misdemeanors or a combination of felony and misdemeanor charges.

Joseph Mitchell Himber, 47, of Roseburg on suspicion of fourth-degree assault/felony.

Oregon State Police

Brandon Wayne Pickett, 30, of Myrtle Creek on suspicion of attempting to elude a police officer, reckless driving and recklessly endangering another.

Myrtle Creek Police

Sarah Stephanie Wright, 22, of Myrtle Creek on suspicion of first-degree child abuse, unlawful delivery of a controlled substance to a minor and cause to ingest a controlled substance.

Sutherlin Police

James Robert Smith, 38, of Winston on suspicion of first-degree sexual abuse.
