TOYS FOR TOTS BENEFIT — Enjoy an evening of entertainment, refreshments, dinner and door prizes with the Toys for Tots benefit to take place at 6 p.m. today at the Callahan Village Assisted Living Community, 1801 N.W. Garden Valley Blvd., Roseburg. Various gift baskets donated by local businesses will be raffled off to benefit the organization. Dinner is $5 per plate and raffle tickets are $1 each. 673-4500.

BENEFIT MUSIC AND DINNER — Roseburg musicians of The Jazz Club present timeless hits with a mix of bossa nova and Latin tunes at the final installment of the Third Friday Benefit series. At 6 tonight, the Umpqua Valley Arts Center, 1624 W. Harvard Ave. in Roseburg, hosts a dinner created by Javelin Ormond that will mesh with wine from Triple Oaks Vineyard and the jazz performance. The Douglas County Global Warming Coalition will share part of the proceeds with the No LNG group. The suggested donation is $25. 580-9120.

GENERATION BROADWAY AT UACT — Popular Broadway acts combine with the opening of the Umpqua Actors Community Theatre's production of “Generation Broadway.” Beginning at 6:30 p.m. today, the Betty Long Unruh Theatre at 1614 W. Harvard Ave. in Roseburg will kick off a special red carpet gala prior to the 7:30 p.m. performance with hors d'oeuvres, sweets and a silent auction, which is included in the $10 ticket price. Children 12 and younger get in for $5. Enjoy what organizers call the “newest and most popular Broadway smash hits from today” mixed into one performance. 673-2125.

NUTCRACKER PERFORMANCE — The longest running continuous performance at Umpqua Community College will take place beginning at 3 p.m. Sunday in the Jacoby Auditorium at 1140 Umpqua College Road in Roseburg. The Eugene Ballet Company performs with local students in this classic event. Proceeds benefit the Festival of Lights and the Roseburg Rotary Club's scholarship efforts. $13 tickets are available at Northwest Lifestyles, 445 S.E. Jackson St. or $15 tickets will be for sale the day of the performance. 672-3469.

FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS — Check out Santa traveling by spaceship and the nearly 80 other light displays on hand at the 17th annual Festival of Lights. Sunday is the premier of this year's drive-through family fun show. From 5:30 to 9 p.m. at River Forks Park at 380 River Forks Park Road in Roseburg, take a carload to see the oldest and second largest light show in Oregon. This year, also check out Santa's throne, candy buffet and baked goods sale inside the Holiday Village building. $8 per car and $1 for 3D glasses. 672-3469.
