LNG input sought by Corps, DEQ



Comments regarding the Pacific Connector Gas Pipeline project's potential impact to U.S. and Oregon waterways and wetlands are due to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality by Dec. 27.

Pacific Connector Gas Pipeline L.P. and the International Port of Coos Bay have applied to both agencies for permits to construct an access channel and boat slip on the North Spit in North Bend, an onshore liquid natural gas import and storage terminal on the bay side of the North Spit, and a 234-mile natural gas pipeline and associated infrastructure in Coos, Douglas, Jackson and Klamath counties.

Pacific Connector's and the Port's applications and supporting materials for the project are available in electronic format on the Corps' Portland District File Transfer Protocol site at http://tinyurl.com/ybn86yq.

Hard copy formats are available at DEQ offices in Portland, Coos Bay and Medford.
