Robert Spurlock



Of Camas Valley, Oregon, went safely home to be with his Lord and Saviour on Sunday, November 22, 2009, at the age of 80. He was born on July 30, 1929 in Curtis, Nebraska, to parents, Guy M. and Marie (Ehlers) Spurlock. Robert is survived by his loving wife of over 61 years, Lorraine; daughter, Danelle Murray; sister, Lucille Evans; three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Robert C. Spurlock; sister, Lela Bradley and several nieces and nephews. Robert was an accomplished musician in both country western and popular music fields. He played guitar with the likes of Tex Williams, Spade Cooley and Cliffy Stone bands. Bob lived in Glendale, California for many years before moving to Camas Valley 34 ½ years ago. He was a former school bus driver as well as a driving education instructor. Bob enjoyed his job and also enjoyed the love and respect he received from the students. Arrangements are under the direction of Taylor's Family Chapel.
