Thanksgiving comes before Christmas and so why do we not sing praises to the one who gives us all our blessings? I love Christmas carols, but let's put them in order and not commercialize its reason.
As a child, I was taught the hymn of Thanksgiving. “We gather together to ask the Lord's blessings; He chastens and hastens His will to make known . . . ”
If His will is made known in this manner, then I can accept the fact that it's OK to sing Christmas carols before Thanksgiving. Give this some serious thought.
