POLICE LOG

Wednesday

Douglas County sheriff

1:04 p.m. — Theft of mail on the 100 block of First Street in Dillard

Reedsport Police

8:55 a.m. — Computers and other items stolen on the 400 block of Fir Avenue.

9 a.m. — Houseboat on fire at Port Dock Way and Riverfront Way.

1:26 p.m. — Vandalism at Umpqua Plumbing, 281 Rainbow Plaza.

3:10 p.m. — Items taken on the 100 block of South 19th Street.

3:24 p.m. — Two burglaries on the 300 block of Hawthorne Avenue.

Roseburg Police

12:47 p.m. — Person detained for shoplifting on the 900 block of Harvard Ave.

12:55 p.m. — Person detained for shoplifting on the 2500 block of Harvard Ave.

Thursday

Douglas County sheriff

12:58 a.m. — Woman reported her vehicle was hit with several fireworks while she was driving on Interstate 5 near milepost 101 on the southbound lane.

11:40 a.m. — Wheels and tires stolen from a vehicle on the 300 block of Dairy Loop Lane in Lookingglass.

3:12 a.m. — Stolen vehicle found under a bridge on the 700 block of Hogan Road.

Roseburg Police

9:58 a.m. — Vehicle reported stolen on the 1500 block of Beaumont Avenue.

10:40 p.m. — A man was arrested on the 1600 block of Southeast Stephens Street for assaulting a woman.

ACCIDENTS

Wednesday

Roseburg Police

1:13 p.m. — Noninjury accident on the 700 block of Hill Avenue.

Thursday

Douglas County sheriff

2:15 p.m. — Noninjury accident at the 5000 block of Northeast Stephens Street.

5:12 p.m. — A vehicle crashed into a store front on the 2900 block of Stewart Parkway. No injuries were reported.

Sutherlin Police

3:11 p.m. — Noninjury accident on the 1400 block of West Central Avenue in Sutherlin.

4:02 p.m. — Noninjury accident on the 500 block of South State Street.

Winston Police

4:09 p.m. — Noninjury accident on Interstate 5 at milepost 120 in the northbound lane.



ARRESTS

The News-Review publishes the names of individuals who have been arrested on suspicion of at least one felony charge or three misdemeanors or a combination of felony and misdemeanor charges.

Wednesday

Douglas County Juvenile Detention Facility

A 17-year-old Elkton resident detained on suspicion of first-degree arson, three counts of first-degree burglary, three counts of second-degree burglary and three counts of criminal mischief.

A 16-year-old Reedsport resident detained on suspicion of first-degree arson, three counts of first-degree burglary, three counts of second-degree burglary and three counts of criminal mischief.



Reedsport Police

Terry Lee Blankenship, 22, of Reedsport on suspicion of three counts of third-degree sex abuse, fourth-degree assault and two counts of harassment.

Thursday

Douglas County Sheriff's Office

Alicia Marie Humiston, 23, of Oakland, was arrested on suspicion of menacing, harassment and attemp to use or carry a dangerous weapon.

FIRE RUNS

Wednesday

Douglas County Fire District No. 2

5:33 p.m. — Flue fire on the 400 block of Yew Lane in Roseburg.

8:50 p.m. — Reports of a strong smell of rotten eggs on the 5000 block of North Umpqua Highway.
