Roseburg Red Cross opens warming shelters

Members of the Oregon Pacific Chapter of the American Red Cross planned to open two daytime warming shelters for those affected by Wednesday's power outages.

The shelters, free and open to everyone, were to be opened at 11 a.m.

They are located in the Green Elementary School's Annex Building, 4498 S.W. Carnes Road and Foursquare Gospel Church, 540 S.E. Main St., Winston.

The Red Cross expects the shelters to remain open through mid-afternoon Wednesday, when power is expected to be restored to local homes.
