Age 74, of Roseburg, Oregon, passed away on Thursday, December 3, 2009. He was born on August 5, 1935, in Michoacan, Mexico, to parents, Mauricio Mendoza and Octaviana Manzo. Adan came to Oregon in 1982 where he worked many years in reforestation. On February 8, 1986, Adan was united in marriage to Sandra Burkhart. They were happily married until Sandra's death in January 2009. Adan loved this country and proudly became a U.S. citizen in 1998. Adan enjoyed the outdoors, picnics, and barbecues. He also enjoyed woodworking , puzzles, games, reading, and was an avid sports fan. He especially loved being surrounded by his family and friends. Adan is survived by his children, Rigo Mendoza and wife, Lupe of Roseburg; Mauricio Mendoza and wife, Tereza of Indiana; Jerry Burkhart of Winston, Oregon; Kyla Gobershock and husband, John of Winston; Bobbi Rodriguez and husband, Salvador of Roseburg; Christina Mendoza of Roseburg; Consuelo, Eva, and Maria of Mexico; grandchildren, Miguel and wife, Meagan; Cynthia, and Manny Mendoza; Tyler, Brianna, and Jozelyn Mendoza; Willie and Jennifer Burkhart; Kelila Bergmann; Brittany, Courtney, and Brandon Gobershock; Cassie and Benjamin Rodriguez; great-grandchildren; Maddison and Mykha Mendoza; brother, Marcelino Mendoza of Mexico; nieces, Alma Mendoza and Rosio Bravo; daughter-in-law, Dione Burkhart and many more grandchildren, nieces and nephews in Mexico. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sandra; son, Miguel; sisters, Piedad and Josefina...Dad, Papa, Grandpa, Uncle... We love you!! Memorial services will be held on Saturday, December 12, 2009, at 1 p.m. at the home of his daughter, Kyla. Call 541-679-9893 for directions.
