CAMAS VALLEY — Ryan Dancer scored 15 points, and Luke Elliott had nine points and eight steals to help propel the Camas Valley boys basketball team to a 54-25 win over Prospect in the championship game of the Camas Valley Tournament Saturday.
Using a swarming half-court trap, the Hornets (4-2) forced 27 steals against the Cougars. Evan Tilton added six points and eight rebounds for Camas Valley

RIDDLE — Kasey Dunn scored in 17 points and eight rebounds and Johnny Walters had 14 points in a loss to Triad in the Cow Creek Classic title game on Saturday.
Logan Trumbull turned in 16 points and Jake Ovgard added 15 for Triad, which outscored the Wolves 20-12 in the second quarter to create some separation. Days Creek (2-3) cut the Timberwolves' lead to four in the fourth.
“Defensively, we did a good job, but offensively, we couldn't capitalize,” Days Creek coach James Ellis said. “Overall, I was happy with the effort against a really big, physical Triad team.”

CAMAS VALLEY — For the second time this week, an Australian traveling team visited the Hornets' court as Mulgrave won the championship game of the Camas Valley Tournament on Saturday.
Sanna Salvo scored 18 points, Jasmin Seale scored 16 points and Paige Harrison had 15 points for the team from Melbourne, which jumped out to a 22-4 lead.
“Typically in Australia they play a pretty physical game and do a lot of cherry-picking,” said Camas Valley coach Amy Wolfe, whose team played Tenison Woods College of Australia on Monday. “We knew that but couldn't get it together defensively in the first quarter. After that we hung in there with them.”
Cheyenne Baker and Hailie Peck each scored 14 points to lead Camas Valley (2-4). Christina Carter, who was named to the all-tournament team, added 10 points.
Powers defeated Prospect in the third-place game.

CAMAS VALLEY — Cheyenne Baker tied a career high with 18 points and Christina Carter also had 18 points as the Hornets knocked off rival Powers in the first round of the Camas Valley Tournament on Friday.
Carter had six rebounds and five assists, Baker added five assists and Julie Mooney had seven points.
Liz Linderman scored 13 points and Taylor Stallard added 12 for the Cruisers.

RIDDLE — Laloni VanAuken led a balanced Irish attack with 11 points, and added five rebounds and five blocked shots in a win over the Wolves in the championship game of the Cow Creek Classic Saturday.
Taylor Riekeman had 10 points, and Alex Rogers and Kailee Hanson nine apiece for Riddle (4-1). Riekeman grabbed seven rebounds. Olivia Golemon had 12 points, and Rachel Walters nine points and nine rebounds for Days Creek (2-3).
“Without Laloni, we struggle to win the last two games,” said Riddle coach Casey O'Toole.
Melino Gianotti and Hanson were named co-MVPs of the tournament. Golemon, Triad's Tess Parsons and VanAuken joined Gianotti and Hanson on the all-tournament team.

Melino Gianotti had 15 points and 16 rebounds for Riddle, which trailed 22-13 at halftime. Deploying an effective press, the Irish kept the Timberwolves to 20 second-half points and then exploded for 27 points in the final quarter.
