All evenings are merry and bright at the Umpqua Valley Festival of Lights, Roseburg's signature holiday display. The drive-through attraction at River Forks Park ends tonight.
17th ANNUAL FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS — Spend tonight among the more than 80 light displays as part of the Festival of Lights. The show is one of the largest in the state and entertains all ages with 300,000 lights in a mile and a half. Its final performance is tonight from 5:30 to 9 p.m. at River Forks Park in Roseburg. The show is sponsored by the Roseburg Rotary Club, in conjunction with the Umpqua Valley Arts Association. Cost is $8 per vehicle, $1 for 3-D glasses. 672-3469.
DREAMGIRLS PRODUCTION — The Dreamgirls, called “fabulous fakes” by show organizers, will perform as Tina, Celine, Patsy, Barbara, Cher, Whitney, Dolly and others in the “Dreams Come True at Christmas” cabaret show at Seven Feathers Casino Resort, 146 Chief Miwaleta Lane, Canyonville. The final performances kick off at 7 and 9 p.m. tonight and Saturday and 2 and 7 p.m. Sunday at the Cabaret Lounge. Songs of past and present that “let us know what makes Christmas a girl's favorite time of the year” are promised. Admission is free with a two-beverage minimum. Smoke-free show is at 2 p.m. Sunday. LIGHTS AT SHORE ACRES — Walk through the extravagant light display of about 275,000 lights for the final time tonight from 4 to 10 p.m. in the formal gardens of Shore Acres State Park at 89814 Cape Arago Highway in Coos Bay. The traditional show, which has run since 1987, continues with LED lights in new and unique colors, garden landscape lighting, 20 large trees decorated by various organizations and lighted sculptures including life-sized whales and animated sea lions. Inside, the garden house will be decorated in a traditional holiday theme while volunteers serve hot cider, cookies, punch and coffee. Choirs, carolers and other live performances also take place in the pavilion. Admission is a parking fee of $3 per vehicle, current Oregon Parks and Recreation Department annual parking permit, coastal passport or current state park campground receipt. 888-3732.
