These logs are the highlights of initial emergency calls and reports to the Douglas County Dispatch Center. They do not represent all the incidents or their final outcomes.

POLICE LOG

Saturday

Douglas County sheriff

1:15 p.m. — Burglary on the 13000 block of Elkhead Road, Oakland.

Roseburg Police

5:05 p.m. — Stereo faceplate stolen from car on the 600 block of Denver Street.

Sunday

Douglas County sheriff

9:55 a.m. — Van stolen overnight on the 600 block of Stagecoach Road, Canyonville.

7:37 p.m. — Vehicle stolen on the 200 block of Hult Street, Dillard. Later found by the river with bullet holes in it and a lot of damage.

7:45 p.m. — Vehicle in ditch, no one around, at the intersection of Cinbar Drive and Lookingglass Road, Lookingglass.

Roseburg Police

8:16 a.m. — Apartment broken into, Wii and Playstation stolen, on the 2700 block of Lorraine Avenue.

9:04 a.m. — Burglary on the 800 block of Rainbow Street.

1:10 p.m. — Camera and money taken from unlocked vehicle overnight on the 800 block of Willow Street.

ACCIDENTS

Saturday

Douglas County sheriff

3:52 p.m. — Single-vehicle crash at the intersection of Newport Street and Newton Creek Road, Roseburg. Two taken to hospital with minor injuries.

5:13 p.m. — Two-vehicle, noninjury crash at the intersection of Bills Road and South Pacific Highway, Myrtle Creek. Someone arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of intoxicants.

5:37 p.m. — Motorcycle crash on the 3400 block of Salmon Harbor Drive, Winchester Bay. Driver taken to hospital.

Oregon State Police

5:33 p.m. — Single-vehicle noninjury crash at Milepost 164 northbound, Interstate 5, Curtin.

Sunday

Douglas County sheriff

9:27 a.m. — Single-vehicle noninjury crash on the 1300 block of Territorial Highway, Curtin.

7:21 p.m. — Vehicle in ditch on the 2000 block of Azalea Glen Road, Azalea. No injuries.

Roseburg Police

3:08 p.m. — Hit-and-run collision on the 900 block of Garden Valley Boulevard.

ARRESTS

The News-Review publishes the names of individuals who have been arrested on suspicion of at least one felony charge or three misdemeanors or a combination of felony and misdemeanor charges.

Douglas County sheriff

Dennis Dean McLeod, 59, of Astoria on suspicion of attempting to elude a police officer in a vehicle, attempting to elude a police officer on foot and unlawful possession of a controlled substance.

Saturday

Reedsport Police

Johnny Frederick Rollin, 30, of Florence on suspicion of unlawful possession of marijuana and unlawful possession of a controlled substance.

Sunday

Douglas County sheriff

Rebecca Sue Vermillion, 48, of Myrtle Creek on suspicion of unlawful possession of methamphetamine.

FIRE RUNS

Saturday

Oakland Rural Fire District

5:18 p.m. — Bonfire near Milepost 142 southbound, Interstate 5, Oakland.

Sunday

Roseburg Fire Department

6:31 p.m. —Transient fire under bridge on the 500 block of Washington Avenue. Fire put out.

Winston-Dillard Fire Department

7:55 p.m. — Fire in the vineyard pasture near the 100 block of Bremner Lane, Winston. Under control by 8:04 p.m.
