Don and Miranda Batty of Azalea woke up this morning to find 4 inches of snow blanketing their home.
Several Douglas County residents awoke to a dusting of snow this morning after a cold front brought the snow level to below 1,500 feet in Southern Oregon.
Residents reported snow in Azalea, parts of Glide, the hills near Green and Idleyld Park.
Jay Stockton, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service, said the snow level should rise to 4,000 to 5,000 feet in the next two days. Instead of snow, rain should be expected through most of Thursday and Friday.
A Pacific Power representative said power was out to about 250 Glide customers between 8 and 10:30 a.m. Tuesday morning due to windy conditions.
As of this morning, no major weather-related problems had been reported due to snow.
