The secret is out: Community colleges are hot, and Douglas County boasts one of the best.Two features of the U.S. economy - it's struggling and it's changing - require many midcareer workers to adapt. Some of them are doing it at community colleges, institutions that know about adapting. Community colleges are still the low-cost, stay-at-home option for underclassmen.
