Extension spotlight: Take care with any tree's crowning canopy glory

I like to walk around my yard this time of year and give a good inspection to all my trees. Since the leaves have come off the deciduous trees, it is easier to see if a tree needs some canopy thinning, broken limbs removed or even a little size reduction. With the arrival of winter-like weather, the dormant season is under way for all types of trees in Oregon.
