Went in peace Monday, February 6, 2012 with her children by her side. Born to Frank and Rose (Tuso) Picerno in Chicago, June 17, 1926. In 1937 she moved to Los Angeles with her widowed mother and her two sisters, Mamie and Frances. She graduated from Fremont High School in 1944. With her mother's passing, while a junior in high school, RoseMarie raised her two younger sisters, while continuing school and working part time at Sears. On May 10, 1947, she was united in marriage to Russell Eugene (Gene) Noah at Nativity Catholic Church in Los Angeles. She was married 63 years until Gene passed away on September 30th 2010. She is survived by two children, daughter Paula of Roseburg , son and family, Russ & Connie Noah of Roseburg, grandson and family Kevin & Amy Noah of Lacy, WA., granddaughter and family Karie (Noah) & Dave Davis of Lacy, WA and four great-grandchildren: Kody & Kyler Noah, Taylor & Noah Davis and sister Mamie Lavalee. Several nieces and nephews in California and Colorado. RoseMarie and Gene moved to Tarzana, CA in the San Fernando Valley in 1949 where both children were born. They resided there and were very active community members until 1977 when the family moved to Roseburg to start R.E. Noah and Company. RoseMarie's life was fulfilled by her commitment of service to others. Having a rare blood type, she donated more than 15 gallons of blood to the Red Cross over her years. She was an active member of the Catholic Daughters of Charity in Los Angeles. She served over 10 years as a volunteer at Douglas Community Hospital. For many years she was active in the SMART children's reading program. RoseMarie's passion was walking and walk she did. Every morning people became accustomed in seeing RoseMarie during her typical 5 - 10 mile morning jaunts. Afterwards, she would head to the YMCA to swim. She loved her walking groups and the friendships created within the "Ultimate Striders" at the YMCA. Among the many events she entered, she walked the Portland Marathon with daughter Paula at age of 72 and walked a ½ marathon at 80 years of age with son Russ and granddaughter Karie (Noah) Davis. She even participated and completed her most recent event a 5K on New Years Day 2012 at 85 years. She loved to read story books to her great-grandchildren to see their smiles and enjoy their embraces. She was their GG Noah and she loved it. Most of all, she was devoted to God, she was a loving and supportive wife and mother and she was the rock the family relied upon. Funeral services will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 800 W. Stanton, Roseburg, OR on Monday February 13, 2012 at 12:00 noon.
