The 35th annual Douglas County Spelling Bee sponsored by The News-Review and the Roseburg Kiwanis Club will be Saturday.Twenty-five district winners in fifth through eighth grades will take the stage in the Wildlife Safari auditorium and attempt to earn the title.Each contestant advanced through classroom and school district competitions and will receive a trophy for reaching the county level.The four finalists will receive additional trophies, and the last speller standing at the end of the Douglas County Spelling Bee will win a computer.The spellers represent 14 of the 34 public elementary and middle schools and two private schools.
