SUTHERLIN - A 28-year-old Roseburg woman died early this morning in a near head-on collision with a log truck on Highway 138 West near Sutherlin.Ashley Nicole Clift was driving east in a 2000 four-door Mazda around 2:50 a.m. when she crossed the center line near Milepost 17 and collided with an oncoming 1996 Kenworth truck hauling an unloaded log trailer, according to Oregon State Police Lt. Doug Ladd. It was unknown why Clift's car veered into the opposite lane. She was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, which occurred about eight miles west of Sutherlin. She was not …
