The Fort Umpqua Days celebration will be Sept. 2-3 at the Elkton Community Education Center, 15850 Highway 38 W, Elkton.

A pancake breakfast will be at 7 a.m. each day. The butterfly pavilion, craft and food booths, native plant nursery sales and a produce stand will open at 9 a.m. each day, with food booths opening at 11 a.m.

A parade will begin at 10 a.m. Sept. 2, with a two-day bass tournament both days. Contra Costa will play from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 2, followed by a 1 p.m. pie auction. A musical pageant will take place at 5 p.m. both days.

A reconstruction of historic Fort Umpqua will offer activities depicting life at a Hudson’s Bay Co. fur trading post on both days. Docents will lead historic-themed activities for kids.
