Bright Wood Corporation is looking for a skilled Millwright to perform preventative and
breakdown maintenance at our headquarters location in Madras Oregon.
RESPONSIBILITIES: installs, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, and systems following
specifications, Standard Work Practices, manuals, and drawings, using hand tools, power tools,
hoists, cranes, welding equipment, measuring, and testing equipment, visually inspects and tests
machinery and equipment, using electrical and electronic test equipment, listens for unusual sounds
from machines or equipment to detect malfunctions and discusses machine operation variations
with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problems or repair machines, dismantles
defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts, following specifications and
blueprints using precision measuring instruments and hand tools, cleans and lubricates shafts,
bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery, using rags, brushes, and grease gun, operates cutting
torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts. Must be willing to work any shift, support
company policies in regards to housekeeping & safety policies.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS of the job requires journeyman millwright skills, including but not limited
to: 1) A knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics, 2) Proficient skills pertaining to welding and fitting,
3) Journeyman level trouble shooting skills as relate to wood manufacturing equipment, 4) A basic
knowledge of electrical systems. 5) Work in a team environment in support of corporate goals.
Starting pay is commensurate with experience.
We offer medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, after 60 days of full time employment. PTO
