Anyone who was sorry to see Ebenezer Scrooge take his final bow last winter at the Betty Long Unruh Theatre now has reason to rejoice. The financial and emotional miser will return, along with a full cast of favorite characters, for Umpqua Actors Community Theatre’s 2012 winter production of “A Christmas Carol.” The staging of Charles Dickens’ Christmas classic opens tonight and continues through Dec. 16. The decision to dust off the Victorian-era costumes wasn’t too difficult, according to UACT Executive Director Melody Schwegel.
