The first Poet’s Night Out of the year will be at 7 p.m. Jan. 17 at My Coffee & Wine Experience, 1700 N.W. Garden Valley Blvd., Roseburg. The featured poet will be Green resident Dennis Davis, who is currently composing a King Arthurian poetic narrative and has written other books of verse. Members of the Umpqua Valley Poets plan to do a call-and-response session with his poems. Open mic is offered for people who want to read their or others’ poetry.
