Highway 99 wreck causes possible injuries, stops traffic

A crash this morning involving a chip truck and a pickup on Old Highway 99 South between Roseburg and Green sent two people to the hospital and closed both lanes of traffic, according to emergency services personnel at the scene.

Multiple fire and police agencies responded to the scene, where the chip truck could be seen jackknifed across the roadway. Emergency workers were mopping up spilled diesel and conducting a crash scene investigation.

The highway remain closed as of midmorning, according to an emergency dispatch operator. Further details were not immediately available.
