Italian cooking classes set
Dino’s Ristorante Italiano has planned Italian cooking classes for the next two weekends at the restaurant, 404 S.E. Jackson St., Roseburg.
A “Holiday Menu” is set for noon to 4 p.m. Saturday. Those attending will be involved with hands-on participation, a sampling of the creations, printed recipes and a special gift. Cost is $55 per person. The menu includes curried butternut squash soup; orange salad with Morocccan oil-cured olives and cranberry-orange vinaigrette; lemon-sage Cornish game hens with tomato porcini sauce over soft leek polenta; and panna cotta with raspberry sauce.
“Gnocchi Three Ways’ is planned for noon to 3 p.m. Nov. 30 at Dino’s Ristorante Italiano,
Students will learn to make potato gnocchi with gorgonzola or alla Sorrentina sauces; spinach gnudi or “naked ravioli” with ricotta, Parmesan cheese and brown butter sauce; and gnocchi alla Romana baked with prosciutto, butter and Parmesan cheese. Cost is $45 per person and includes printed recipes and a wooden gnocchi paddle.
Advance registration is required for both classes, which are limited to six guests apiece.
