Oregon author visits Drain for book talk

Oregon author and Register-Guard columnist Bob Welch will be at the Drain Civic Center on Nov. 19 to discuss his books. Welch is hosted by The Friends of the Mildred Whipple Library in Drain. Welch will speak about three of his books: “Cascade Summer: My Adventure on Oregon’s Pacific Crest Trail,” “52 Lessons from ‘It’s a Wonderful Life” and “Resolve: From the Jungles of WWII Bataan, the Epic Story of a Soldier, a Flag, and a Promise Kept.” The event starts at 6 p.m. at 205 West A Ave. Drain.
