WINCHESTER ‘Nutcracker’ set to dance again The Eugene Ballet Co. will perform Peter Tchaikovsky’s “The Nutcracker” Nov. 18 at Umpqua Community College. The ballet follows the adventures of Clara and her magically animated Nutcracker as they battle mice, visit the Sugarplum Fairy and dance with snowflakes. The ballet is an annual fundraiser for the Umpqua Valley Festival of Lights. The show’s supporting dancers are from around Douglas County. They fill the roles of ladybugs, beetles, angels and baby mice. The show begins at 3 p.m. in Jacoby Auditorium, 1140 Umpqua College Road, Winchester. Tickets are $13 in advance or $15 …
