ROSEBURG: Glide man arrested in stolen car

A 63-year-old Glide man was arrested Sept. 10 in a stolen car around 7:30 p.m. outside a business in the 1500 block of Southeast Stephens Street, Roseburg police said.

Police received a call that someone was driving a car in circles in the area and was acting suspicious, police said.

Allyn Uzell Williams and four other people reportedly were found at 7:30 p.m. in a stolen silver Pontiac Bonneville in the parking lot.

Police said the vehicle was confirmed as having been stolen out of Eugene and that officers found a small amount of marijuana on Williams when he was arrested.

Williams was arrested on suspicion of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. He was also cited on suspicion of unlawful possession of less than one ounce of marijuana.

He was in Douglas County Jail this morning in lieu of $50,000 bail.
