Scottish Industry — The Douglas County Scottish Society will host a corned beef and cabbage dinner at 5:30 tonight at Rebekah Lodge, 715 Cass Ave., Roseburg. Mallets in Wonderland — Michael Charles “Marimba Mike” Smith will play two shows in the Roseburg area this weekend. He’ll play a free show from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday at Sandy’s Restaurant, 4550 Old Highway 99 South, Roseburg. He’ll also perform another free show from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Abacela Winery, 12500 Lookingglass Road, 6 miles west of Winston. 541-679-6642.

Skate Escape — The Parkview Skating Center will host the Girl Scout Birthday at 3:30 p.m. Saturday. The center is located at 1151-A Stewart Parkway in Roseburg, in the YMCA building. Find out how to get your daughter involved in the Girl Scouts. $1.25.

Hey, Vernal — Mystic Earth Books hosts a Spring Equinox gathering from 2 to 7 p.m. Saturday at 509 S.E. Jackson St., Roseburg. Get Down in Drain — The Drain Civic Center hosts a bluegrass gospel show from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday at 205 W. A St., Drain. The bands Fern Hill, Jericho Road and Heaven Bound will perform at this fundraiser for the Gateway Family Fellowship Building Fund. $10. $2 discount for seniors 62 and older and children 12 and younger.
