Lancers facing uphill battle against No. 2 Marist

TRI CITY -- President Ronald Reagan was in his first term of office and John Elway was still playing quarterback at Stanford the last time South Umpqua High School advanced in the state football playoffs.The year was 1981, and the Lancers played Siuslaw to a scoreless tie in the Class AA state title game, according to OSAA records.
