Roseburg retail fixture to close doors

After years of working in the woods, then equipping people who are headed into the outdoors, Harry Hakanson figures it's time to ease off a bit.At the end of the month he's closing Surplus Center Inc., which has been a Roseburg retail fixture for almost 34 years."I'm getting too many miles on me, and I'm 76 years old, so it's time to take a day off, I believe," Hakanson said.He will "semi-retire" and remain involved with the Surplus Center he opened in Coos Bay in 1973.The Roseburg Surplus Center property, covering a block between Washington and Oak avenues, is pending …
