Flores' color scheme falls flat in historic Jacksonville

Things didn't exactly get off to a peachy start for Manuel Flores' restaurant in Jacksonville last month.The Flores family owns seven southern Oregon Mexican eateries, including Si Casa Flores restaurants in Sutherlin and Grants Pass. They were expanding into Jacksonville, the touristy hamlet that's home to the Britt Music Festival, when someone complained about Manuel's paint job.He inadvertently painted the new Si Casa Flores in a color -- bright peach -- that isn't among the neutral colors allowed in the town's historical-area color scheme."The city has some colors you have to use and I made a mistake of using a …
