In the past several months many of us have read much about the proposal to revamp the South Umpqua River waterfront. The idea is to create a tourist attraction by allowing access to the part of Roseburg that borders the beautiful South Umpqua River. There is no doubt in my mind that in order for the Umpqua Valley to be a true tourist destination, we must have a beckoning and alluring town center.
