DeFazio questions Robinson ‘scholarships’

Democratic U.S. Rep. Peter DeFazio and Republican challenger Art Robinson are sparring over the meaning of “scholarship.” DeFazio says money he awards displaced workers for higher education constitutes scholarships, while Robinson’s practice of giving needy families his home-school curriculum is something else entirely. “I give scholarships to public universities,” DeFazio said Tuesday during an interview with The News-Review. “He gives away free copies of his home-schooling program.
