SUTHERLIN — A former Roseburg firefighter who is studying to become a paramedic will be the new fire chief of the Fair Oaks Fire Department, replacing Paul Yegge, who resigned in the face of public opposition to his management of the district. The board’s new members Wednesday voted 4-1 to hire Robert Mock, 26, of Roseburg.
