SUTHERLIN — Now that he’s in middle school, Tyler Cross said he’s looking forward to playing football and having a locker. “I’ve never had a locker,” he said. “You always dream about it.” Tyler eagerly stood at the head of a line of seventh-graders touring Sutherlin Middle School on the first day of school Tuesday morning. “I’m really happy, just excited for the new school year,” he said, grinning. The school for seventh and eighth grades held an orientation for about 120 incoming seventh-graders.
